Cherrydale a little over $10,000. We are in good shape.

Principal’s Report (Liz MacDonald);
Mrs. Mac’s Yankee Candle fundraiser
made $4,900. 1/2 of that goes toward Scholastic newsletters for the teachers. Weston received a wonderful tip on a donation
of $25,000. from the Dunkin Donuts across the street. Mrs. Mac has prepared a budget/formal report to back
up these funds.
· Correspondence (Jenn Steele); Nothing to report.
·
Committee Reports
i. Fundraising Committee – Cherrydale Wrap-up (Chair: Jenn Steele); Jenn
was not in attendance but President Amy Merrow reported that Cherrydale was a huge success. We are right
on budget after paying Cherrydale half the proceeds. Great job Jenn.
ii.
Bingo Night Committee (Chair: Karen Cusson); Karen and her committee have Bingo night right on track.
Lots of great prizes, and a few different ways to play Bingo this year. Donations are still welcome.
iii. Holiday baskets (Chair: Lynn O’Donnell); The proceeds from Bingo
night are the major contributor for the Holiday baskets. Also, Lynn has done the classroom request so that
will bring in necessary items to fill the baskets. We are looking at making up close to 20 baskets this
year.
iv. Fifth Grade Fundraising, Yearbook and Events Planning Committee (Wendy
Hudson); Yearbook committee has not met yet, a meeting date will come out soon. Some of the parents have
done a great job already compiling pictures for the year book. Coupon sales are going great which is a
contributor towards the fifth grade activities.
v. Box Tops, Campbell’s
Labels for Education, Tyson, Hannaford Helps Schools Dollars
(Co-Chairs:
Dee Kinney and Karen Poblenz); Dee Reported on these items: Boxtops: We have submitted 14,837.70
thus far. Teacher rankings are: 1st Mrs. Boucher, 2nd Mrs. Garrell, 3rd
Mrs. Phelan and 4th Mrs. Eaton. Campbells: We have submitted 34,040 labels so far.

vi. Birthday Books (Chair: Anne Desaulniers);
Anne has requested that we increase the budget for the birthday books. She has done an evaluation and realized
we will not have enough to pull off this program throughout the year with the funds we have. The Wendy
made a motion to approve a budget increase; Karen Cusson 2nd and the PTO were all in favor. September,
October and November birthday books will be given out within the next couple weeks.
5. Unfinished Business
· Weston Gear Sales; Sales are going great for Weston wear. These
would make great Christmas gifts for your kids. Please reply to this email and we can get you an order
form if interested or go to the school office and they can help you.
· Winter Outerwear Drive; We still need a committee chair and members for this. This committee would need to gather
gently used coats and outerwear, wash what would need to be washed and plan to get it to the correct person to help those
in need.
·
TIGER program; TIGER program is
a non-bullying program that we give to the kids each year. We have not booked it yet, but are looking at
January 6, 2011 as the date.
·
Fundraising via kickbacks; Sent
around a list for a committee to be created for this. There are tons of businesses out there who will donate
a portion of sales to Weston, we just need to facilitate a calendar of events of each company.
6. New Business/Community Input
· PACK Week; Crissy Ouellette is facilitating this event.
